Easy Ways To Decorate Your Bedroom

I thought I'd do a bit of a different post today and share some parts of my bedroom that I've decorated as well as 6 tips for decorating your room in an easy and affordable way!
Hopefully this can give you inspiration of ways that you can decorate your own room!

#1 USE BOOKS TO DECORATE
You can stand them up or stack them on top of each other as a way of adding colour to your room.

#2 PRINT OUT SOME QUOTES
Have a look on Tumblr or Pinterest for some cute quotes! You can put them in frames or pin them on a pinboard! Choose quotes that will motivate you when you read them!

#3 FAKE FLOWERS
They're super low maintenance and always look pretty! I got mine from Wilko!

#4 PAINT OLD JARS
Use any acrylic paint to paint up some old jars. I've painted some white, pink and copper (I'm slightly obsessed with copper paint). These are what I use to put my fake flowers in.

#5 CHEAP HOMEWARE
Have a look in the Primark home section for little decor pieces. That's were I got my silver elephant and the frame with string, pegs and pictures on from. Everything is super cute and affordable.

#6 DIYS
Look up some DIY Room Decor videos on Youtube. My favourite youtuber for this is LaurDIY!

10 Things To Do When You're Bored

Here's a list of 10 things that you could do when you're bored at home and have nothing to do!

#1 READ A BOOK
I don't know about you but I have loads of books in my room that I want to read but I just never get around to reading. But when I have spare time, I love to read, especially in the evenings or before I sleep.

#2 WATCH YOUTUBE VIDEOS
I always have lots of videos in my Watch Later playlist, so when I'm bored I just sit down and watch a few. Comment below who some of your favourite youtubers are!

#3 READ SOME BLOG POSTS
Again, I always have lots of unread posts on my Bloglovin' feed, so I'll just read through some of those when I have nothing else to do.

#4 BAKE SOMETHING
This is a great time killer. First you need to find something to bake, then you need to check you've got all of the ingredients that you need (then go to the shops if you don't have everything already), then you get to bake! And the best part is, you get to eat it afterwards!

#5 SORT OUT YOUR WARDROBE
This is something that I actually enjoy (if I'm in the right mood). I sort out my clothes in to three piles; keep, donate and sell. Then I have more room in my wardrobe for new clothes and I've gotten rid of any that I no longer wear.

#6 GO ONLINE SHOPPING
Or just online window shopping. If there's something that I want, I like to spend my time looking at different websites for the best deals, so I can save the most money.

#7 DIY ROOM DECOR
I don't know about you but I always see loads of cute DIY room decor videos and posts of things that I'd love to make! So why not give some a go when you've got time?

#8 COLOURING
There are so many cute adult colouring books around at the moment and they're so much fun!

#9 LISTEN TO MUSIC
Go on to Spotify and listen to your favourite songs. You could make your own new playlist or listen to other people's playlists!

#10 START A BLOG
It's a great way to spend your time if you love writing, taking photos and have an interest in something that you could make a blog about. Why not give it a go?

What do you like to do when you're bored? Leave a comment below!

L'Oreal Haul and First Impressions

I've recently bought some new L'Oreal Paris products and I thought I'd share my first impressions!

INFALLIBLE SCULPT CONTOURING PALETTE
This is a new product from L'Oreal which I wanted to try out as soon as I saw it! Both the contour and highlight are cream to powder formulas. I love the contour shade to add an extra definition to my cheekbones. However, the highlight shade is quite light for me and I haven't quite yet worked out how best to use it. I would still recommend this though, as it's quite a different product so it's fun to try out.

LUMI MAGIQUE HIGHLIGHTING PEN
First off, how pretty is the packaging of this! I love the rose gold. I got mine in the shade Medium but it is still quite light for me. I tried to use it under my eyes but it was very white looking. I think it's best to use this as a liquid highlight, rather than for brightening under the eyes.

TRUE MATCH FOUNDATION
Technically this isn't a first impression of this product as I have used it before, but I did just buy a new one. I love this foundation so much! It's so easy to apply, has great coverage and lasts all day! I would definitely recommend.

FALSE LASH TELESCOPIC MASCARA
After religiously using the Maybelline Lash Sensational for the past year, I decided it was time to try a new mascara. I'd seen a lot of bloggers and youtubers rave about the Telescopic so I thought I'd try it. My sister recommended the False Lash one, so I decided to pick that one up. It has fibres in the mascara for extra volume and length. This mascara is very lengthening and I love it! Sadly I don't love it as much as the Lash Sensational, but it is still very good!

#2 BULK TAKE PHOTOS - Take a lot of blog photos for different posts in one go, if you can.

#3 FREE THEME - Start off with a simple free theme until you decide that you really want to stick with blogging, then you could buy one and start adding more features to your blog.

#4 FOCUS ON CONTENT - Your content is the most important part of your blog at the beginning. As your audience starts to grow then you can focus more on photography and editing.

#5 JOIN BLOGLOVIN' - It's a great way to read blog posts, follow blogs and find new blogs to read.

#8 NUMBERS AREN'T EVERYTHING - Don't focus too much on the views, comments, follows, etc.

#9 QUALITY OVER QUANTITY - Focus more on the quality of your posts rather than how often you post. One good post a week, is better than three rushed short posts.

Things I Wish I'd Done Differently At School

#1 NOT CARED ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE THOUGHT
If I wanted to wear a certain thing, or do my hair a certain way, then I should have just done it! I spent so much time just trying to fit in, and it wasn't until I finished school that I actually started wearing whatever I wanted, and I feel so much better for it.

#2 BEEN MORE CONFIDENT
I'm not the world's most confident person, especially in big groups of people. I just wish I'd tried a little harder to socialise with everyone. I'm definitely better at it now, as I've gotten to know people more. I'm just not that good when I first meet people.

#3 STUDIED A LITTLE MORE
So I did do reasonably well in my exams, I just wish I worked a little harder for my A Levels. I sort of lost interest in them and couldn't wait to leave school, that I didn't study a lot for them. I did get BBC, but I think I could have done a little better (ABB was my goal).

#4 TAKEN EVERY OPPORTUNITY
I had a lot of opportunities for different clubs, trips and other things which I didn't take part in. I wish I'd done Duke Of Edinburgh because so many of my friends did and it looked like a lot of fun! But at the time I just couldn't be bothered.

#5 MADE LOTS OF SOLID FRIENDSHIPS
When you leave school it's a lot harder than you think it would be to stay in touch with friends. There a few still that I talk to all the time and meet up with as much as possible. But there are lots that I don't see nearly as much as I should. When you're in school it's easy to take friendships for granted because you seem them everyday, but it's so much harder when you finish school for uni/work.

5 Under £5

Here are 5 makeup products that I love that are under £5!

Collection Eyes Uncovered Nude Palette £3.99
I can't recommend this palette enough! The eyeshadows are so creamy and pigmented. There are so many looks that can be made with these 6 nude eyeshadows!

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me £2.99
I love all of the Baby Lips but I think this is my favourite! It gives the perfect red tint to my lips and moisturises them.

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Pencil in East End Snob £3.99
This lip pencil is so creamy and easy to apply. I wear it all over my lips alone, creating a lovely pinky nude look. It lasts for a long time and doesn't dry out my lips.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer £4.99
I love this concealer so much! It's so creamy and high coverage yet it feels so light. I use it under my eyes to conceal and brighten.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder £3.99
This is my favourite powder for keeping my foundation matte and making my makeup last all day. I love this!

Which makeup products do you recommend that are under £5?
